Archery

Archery is a fast-growing sport right across the UK. It has captured the imagination of over 47,000 members of Archery GB, and many more at ‘have a go’ archery events, activity centres, outdoor shows and tourist attractions.

It is a fascinating, inclusive and accessible sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Archery has a fun and sociable community, and it encourages personal fulfilment and friendly competition.

Senior (over 25s). £52
Senior (18-24s). £17
Junior (U-18s). £13.70

Subs are £1.50 per session

External competition league(s)

Members can involve themselves only in the weekly meetings or if desired, however they can enter competitions around the country including a number in Cumbria. You are free to enter whichever competitions you like, and do so as an individual representing the club.

Governing body membership

When joining the section you must also join GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) also known as Archery GB.

Coaching available

Novices must complete a Beginners Course. The course is run in house by a qualified Archery Leader. Club nights are run in a friendly atmosphere where club members are happy to offer advice on both equipment and shooting style.

Club equipment & facilities

The club have a wide range of equipment for beginners to use until they decide to purchase their own.
We shoot outdoors whenever possible from March to October and we have access to the indoor shooting range all year long.
