Hawcoat Park Sports Club actively encourages the residents of Barrow and the outlying areas to use its facilities.
Hawcoat Park currently maintains and operates 2 football pitches, 2 rugby pitches, 2 bowling greens, 1 cricket pitch, and a training pitch.
The club has rooms that are ideal for conferencing and that will accommodate small groups of around 10 people to much larger groups of up to 200. The extensive grounds also bring opportunities for team building exercises. The club has equipment which can be made available on request.
All the facilities at the club can be hired through the Administration team. So even if you’re not a member you can have that game of football or bowls with friends paying an hourly rate.
Members of the club (with the exception of Social Members) can use the sporting facilities free of charge.
Block bookings can attract discounts and our General Manager will be happy to discuss hire charges and availability.
Bar
The bar in the upstairs area of the club is open daily. Members and non-members are welcome.
Main Hall
The main hall in the downstairs area of the club can be exclusively hired. The room which holds up to 200 people is ideal for larger events. The room can also be curtained off to make a smaller space suitable for around 100 people.
The hall is popular for wedding night functions, office parties, etc. The high ceiling in the hall means that bouncy castles to be used indoors and so childrens’ parties are a common event at the club.
Football Pitches
For corporate team building events, the inter-office match, or just a kick about with friends we can provide you with excellent facilities.
Bowling Greens
Hawcoat Park boasts two immaculately maintained crown green bowling areas. These areas are available for the non-member use on payment of an hourly rate. The greens can also be hired for exclusive use if required.
Cricket Square
The cricket pitch and square can be hired for exclusive use for corporate events or a private game of cricket.
Training Area
There is a floodlit training area adjacent to Hawcoat Lane.
Football Pitches
The football pitches at can be hired for use by non-members. Ideal for corporate events or a private game of football.
Rugby Pitches
The rugby pitches can be hired for exclusive use or a private game of rugby. The club’s senior rugby side participates in Rugby Union but with prior arrangement the pitch can be marked out to accommodate a game of Rugby League.
Car Park Areas
Hawcoat Park will hire out the car parks by arrangement, and these areas are suitable for events such as car boot sales and vehicle displays.
